A little bit more

-         -  Abraham asked God for one son, but God gave him nations
-          - Solomon asked for Wisdom and Knowledge, God gave what he asked for and much more

These are a few examples of what God can do, God never gives you what you asked for and that’s it. God makes sure to give you what you asked for and He also gives you something extra.

When you sacrifice and put your whole dependence on Him, he has no choice but to bless you. The devil will try and make you give half your sacrifice, because he knows that if you only give half, God will not bless you completely! So you have to doubt the doubt, when the devil comes with doubtful words, just push it away and remember your sacrifice.

I have had times where I gave my all, and still the devil whispers that it won’t work, or God will never hear. But if you’re smart you pause and think, wait, If I obeyed and sacrificed, then God HAS to bless me!

The Take Down

The story of David and Goliath is a perfect illustration of our daily problems nowadays.

When David came face to face with Goliath in the valley and told him:

"You come at me with sword and spear and battle-ax. I come at you in the name of God-of-the-Angel-Armies, the God of Israel's troops, whom you curse and mock."

You see that Goliath still did not show signs of relaxed, and all that Mr. Big stuff. he still held on to his armor and sword. You don't see him dropping his armor and sword and trying to fight like a man.

That shows us that even though we might be small in front of our problems, but if we have the backup of God almighty, our problems no matter how big they are, they will be afraid of us.

David killed a man almost 4 times his stature and took home the victory. In the same way we can take down out problems and go home victorious

The Great Sacrifice

He said, "Take your dear son Isaac whom you love and go to the land of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains that I'll point out to you."

God asked Abraham to sacrifice his only son, the son he had been praying and asking God for 100 years. Don't you think that was a bit too much? Honestly it was. but again we see Abraham obeying, he left his house and traveled to that mountain, and was going to do just as God had asked. Now that is really an obedient man, and just as he was going to kill Isaac, God stopped him and said:

"Don't lay a hand on that boy! Don't touch him! Now I know how fearlessly you fear God; you didn't hesitate to place your son, your dear son, on the altar for me."

What is your Isaac nowadays? Is it your car, your house, your phone... I don't know, each person has a different Isaac. But be sure, when God asks you to sacrifice your 'Isaac' just do it. And do it with faith, and believe that God will provide. When you put all your trust in God, he will take care of your life, and bless it so much.

And when you sacrifice and ask God for one big thing, don't ask for something small, ask something that is huge, that is impossible for you. Because for God nothing is impossible. Abraham asked God for only one son, but God made Abraham a father of nations.

What is your Isaac?

Obedience

This month's theme in my church is about Abraham and Obedience...

Do you know who Abraham is? He is considered the Father of Faith. And not only that, he obeyed everything that God asked him to do.

God told Abraham to leave his hometown and head towards a land that He would show him. If you stop and think, its pretty crazy, because he just left and started to walk away from his land and into the dessert, not knowing where he was going, but he obeyed. And that's when God started to bless him.

So when you pray and God talks to you and asks something of you, or tells you to do something, its better you obey Him. because if you don't your just missing out on all the blessings He is willing to pour down on you.

Listen and Obey

A Parents Love

I think a mom and dad's word to their son is one of the most important you can receive. And you better take it in and use it, because if you miss their guidance you might miss a lot of benefits.

I know because my parents guide me every time I talk to them, and honestly sometimes I don't listen and the results are never good. So take it from me and listen to your parents. The reason being that they have been our age, they have lived it all, they have experience, and we are only starting our lives. So when they say stay away from strangers, do it. Don't play with fire, don't do it. Simple!

Just listen to them and you will be fine, no harm done there, its not gonna kill you to obey sometimes

Decisions

Everyday we make decisions, from what side of the bed to wake up, what clothes we are going to wear, to what route we are going to take to work in the morning. I'm just kidding about the 'what side of the bed to awake', but you get what I mean.

Our lives are made up of decisions that we make, and our lives depend on it. And our life will reflect the decisions that we make, if we are very bad then its because our decisions in the past were bad, and same goes to the good part.

Honestly I have made very bad decisions in the course of my life, now I'm not saying that my life today is very bad, that's not it at all. But I've made decisions that overruled the bad ones. That's what counts, make sure you quickly make good ones to wipe out the bad ones. But of course its better to just make good ones right?

So before you act you have to think... Remember what your mom told you when you were little? "Think before you act." Well she was very smart, because that is very true!

A mother's love

I woke up one day around 8am to a text message from my father telling me that he was moving to Brazil, and if I wanted to come with them, to start a new life. I replied him saying I didn't want to go, that I loved where I was, and what I was doing. with that he left me alone.
After some half an hour my mom texted me and said the same thing, she kept insisting that I move and start a new life, that the life I was living would lead me to prison, addiction or death. I told her that I would love to start a new life, but I didn't know how to leave the old one. She said to me that she would pick me up from work at that very moment, she wanted me to leave everything behind. She did pick me up from work, I left my clothes, phones, friends and the old life.

I was on the next flight out of Houston and to Brazil, Sao Paulo, on my way to a brand new life.

Basically If that wasn't a mother's love, I don't know what is. She went into the snake pit to pull me out and take me to paradise. Everyday I pray and thank God for that day, the day I was saved.

I love you mom for what you did.

Te Amo!
